International Day of Persons with Disabilities

International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Pondicherry

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, our children from Vasantham Special School were given a beautiful opportunity to shine at Vinayaga Mission Research Foundation, Pondicherry. With confidence and pure joy, the students participated in dance performances and drawing competitions, expressing themselves. Every performance showed more than just talent; it revealed the many hours of support, kindness, and faith placed in each child. With smiles on their faces and a sense of pride, our kids brought home several awards and a boost in their self-esteem. Experiences like this remind us that when we back and embrace children, they can truly shine. Gatherings like this are important for building dignity, self-respect, and a sense of belonging for children with special needs.

A Day of Joy, Care, and Generosity: R.M. Trust Visit to Vasantham Special School, Vadalur

Vasantham Special School felt bright and full of joy as we welcomed the R.M. Trust from Pondicherry, led by Mr. Rathinaswamy Murugesan, Managing Director, and his caring team. They were with our children the whole day, not as guests but more like family-joining in dances, singing along, sketching pictures, and playing games like lemon-and-spoon, musical chairs, and a few other simple, happy activities.
The laughter came easily, and the children seemed at ease. They also took care to organize snacks and serve the lunch our children love, so each child felt seen and looked after. And there was more. R.M. Trust made a kind donation worth ₹2,08,245, which included groceries, spices, personal care items, cleaning supplies, home essentials, and stationery kits. These things may seem ordinary, but they matter every day. They help our children in small yet steady ways, keeping our school running smoothly. Their generosity, it seems, is a gentle reminder that acts of care can change a day, and sometimes a life.

When Corporate Hearts Meet Purpose: Oracle Employees at Vasantham, Vadalur

Oracle employees spent a full day at Vasantham Special School, and it felt warm and sincere from start to finish. They joined our children in simple activities, shared laughs, and took the time to connect. The room felt lighter. There was a sense of acceptance, and the children, each in their own way, seemed more at ease. They felt noticed. They felt valued. Their care did not end there. The team also brought groceries and other daily essentials to support the children and the school. This practical help meets everyday needs, which matters more than it may seem. It reminds our children-and all of us that they are not walking this path alone.
